Example Data Collection 2025
During the second day of the workshop, the NIWA launch Rukuwai II was used to collect data in Evans Bay, demonstrating how to install loggers in a boat of opportunity, and issues with collecting data, data offload, management, conversion, and submission. Source data from this collection is available here in WIBL form (4MB) (rendering in QGIS to the right) or as GeoJSON here; see the WIBL project website and wiki documentation for details and where to find conversion and manipulation tools; OpenVBI can also be used to read and process this data.
